About L'evento Caffé

When we first started gathering our resources and pulling together the rough draft of our new concept we asked ourselves one question, "Why doesn't Omaha have a true Italian Coffeehouse?" From there we focused our energy on getting an Italian style coffeehouse into Omaha. We started looking at blends, roasts, and overall menu options. From there we continued to develop new ideas that have not been done in Omaha, or anywhere as far as we know. L'evento is a completely new concept and therefore a new company. L'evento was officially created at the end of 2007, however, work and development of the new concept had already been in development for several years. Since then we have created our coffeehouses from the ground up. We want to be a morally conscious company, which takes into account and takes strides in limiting our environmental impact, all while helping to supports our local community. We wish for L'evento Caffé to become a tool for the community. Where someone can come in and see local events or gathers at one of our community bulletin boards. Where people can come in and meet others, mingle, and just hang-out. Soon we will be hosting happy-hour / game night on Friday and Saturday nights. Our goal is to allow everyone the opportunity of being in a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy great drink specials, play games, and hang-out. Taking advantage of being so young, allows us to structure ourselves in a manner that no one else can. We feature fully biodegradable cups made from PLA, which a corn based plastic, instead of traditional petroleum based plastic. We also feature cup sleeves made entirely of recycled materials, and use make an effort to use as many green technologies as we can. We believe that by started to integrate green options as soon as possible will allow us to have more peace of mind knowing that we are doing the right thing. We also set out to us as many local Omaha, or greater Omaha area, companies. We rather source parts and services from our neighbors here in Omaha, than from a national company based elsewhere. We feel that by being devoted to our community and helping each other, everyone will succeed and prosper. We also want to focus on giving back to the community. We are will be donating one percent of total sales to local Omaha charities that have programs to help the homeless or near homeless. We have faith that by helping those with the most need in our community and helping them have a better or more stable like, that it is the best possible way to improve our community as a whole.
